Over the past weeks, the Sober Life team has been moving through communities such as Tafara, Epworth, Zororo, Maruva Shin, Overspill, and Glenwood, engaging households in open and honest conversations about drug and substance abuse.
From the Streets to the Field: How Sport is Healing Mabvuku-Tafara from Drug Abuse
In the densely populated neighborhoods of Mabvuku-Tafara, where the shadows of drug and substance abuse have long threatened the dreams of young people, a powerful movement is rising not through lectures or arrests, but through the sound of a whistle, the energy of a crowd, and the spirit of play.
The overall project objective is to provide better living condition to Harare citizens by increasing and
improving their access to sustainable waste to wealth services, clean energy provisions and to promote
energy and resource efficiency in Zimbabwe’s built environment.
We believe that education is the first line of defense against drug abuse. Our prevention and education initiatives aim to raise awareness, provide accurate information, and equip individuals with the tools to make informed decisions.
Our treatment and rehabilitation programs provide comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. We focus on holistic recovery, addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction.
Emotional and peer support is crucial for recovery. Our counseling and support services offer a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, receive guidance, and build a network of support.
Our community outreach efforts aim to create a supportive network for those affected by drug abuse, fostering collaboration and resource sharing.
Our organization truly believes that by working together, we can
save more lives than ever before.
